There may be a post for BSG, Dollhouse, and Sarah Connor reviews later today. But as a note: John Henry/Roman is awesome. Really, really high-fucking-larious. "He is sworn to defeat the makuta." LULz.
Also Tucker from Enterprise is the local sheriff.
It's been argued that Chaucer was the start of St. Valentine's day. See, writers are definitely the most awesome people ever.

"St. Valentine’s Day is a holiday with its origins clouded in the early centuries of the Common Era. Conflated with Lupercalia, a Roman festival of fertility and love, and the martyrdom of several Valentines, one of whom was executed for encouraging the marriages of Roman soldiers and of Christians, it is a holiday with strong ties to romance from more than one cultural direction. Spread from Rome to England by Roman soldiers and settlers, the observance and awareness of this celebration in mid-February of love and endearment endured for centuries. The tradition of St. Valentine’s Day survived in England through the Middle Ages, “references…in English literature, including Chaucer, firmly associating Valentine’s Day with…love.” (McCain, 13) Exchange of written romantic notes became a tradition, poeticized and becoming more widespread in the 16th century, and persisting until the 18th century, when a formal system of Valentine exchange and finally valentine card production took hold."

But yes, I know it has all its origins, but I just wanted to make the point that writers < the rest of us. Chaucer is one who is particularly < everyone. Shakespeare too, he should have a holiday, but I suppose he'll just have to settle for creating our language as we know it.
