Summary: I was thinking about what happened in 2x10 Evil...and his brother Ziggy, with the whole hotel room thing. This could be read as AU to that, in that Crews did stay in the hotel room or you can imagine it happening again, this scene just came to me, and I wanted to see what peoples reactions were to my Crews & Reese before I started posting a longer story. So comments are loved and cherished. Link text from the Eels song "I Need Some Sleep."

So, Merlin has kind of eaten my brain, I’ve even changed my layout, well I also changed my layout because I was stupid enough to look through minty_peach. Any way I needed to write fic, so here be fic in which I slaughter Arthurian cannon for character interaction and hints of femmeslash, YAY! (Mora do not kill me in my sleep, please). So enjoy.

Summary [please read]: Since Merlin takes so many liberties with the myth in their youth, I decided to do the same for later on. This is a future fic, which takes liberties with who accompanies Arthur’s body in the boat to Avalon. I have made it so Gwen is in the boat with Morgana, I don’t mention any of the other queens but I kind of assumed they would be in there too. Basically Morgana’s reflection on how Morgana, Arthur, Gwen, and Merlin’s lives went. Title is a reference to a line in Book 21 Chapter 6 of Le Morte D’Arthur, which is actually “thus was he [Arthur] led away.”

Okay so I guess last christmas when I was in London with my Mum she got tickets to Swimming With Sharks because she loves Christian Slater and we had an afternoon free. So anyway I just found out Matt Smith was in that, I remember his character, but I didn't have my glasses at the time so I don't really remember him, but yes that was funny now that I know that.

I haven't posted any thoughts on Eleven but now I shall, just briefly. I think he's a good enough choice, he seems to be able to play eccentric enough, I do however worry about his age. I have been rewatching some five though, and PD was unusually young and pretty to be playing the Doctor and I think he pulled it off, I mean whether or not you liked his Doctor I am pretty sure he was a Doctor, so I guess what I'm saying is I don't have any thoughts on Eleven yet, because I feel like we need to give him a chance and either he'll pull it off or not. So here's hoping.

...and I need to delete some icons so I can upload an Eleven and an Eleven/Romana icon.

Notes: This didn't turn out how I expected. This was meant to be far more gen and about how everyone in this show is really haunted and kind of a victim of themselves or others in someway, and it ended up having more of a Crews/Reese vibe than I meant. Also, I'm not quite sure about how I dealt with:

I thought I knew how to do it, and then ahm I didn't. And I do feel like Life is unique in how it deals with the survivors of the homicides they investigate. This vid also had a lot less planning than usual, it was far more organic, so I really would be interested in knowing what you think of the outcome.

My Top Ten New Year's Resolutions

1 Start running again.

2 Read more Shakespeare (Really I only have 12 plays left, and I've just stopped).

3 Make sure I get tickets to The Cherry Orchard and The Winter's Tale

4 Read all of the books I got in the last month in the next three months. (Went on mad shopping spree. Got clothes and books, it would be so much cheaper easier if I just wanted one or the other, damn me for being both shallow and addicted to books.)

5 Do my work at BMCC.

6 Memorize more poetry.

7 Watch Six and Two finally.

8 Write prose or poetry for at least fifteen minutes a day and hope something actually comes of it.

9 Get over the fact that I hate RTD and fall in love with Who again.

9 pt2 Get over the fact that I hate RTD and write a cohesive review for The Next Doctor.

9 pt3 To get over the anger that pt2 will create, write a squee!view™ (a review made of squee) for a Third Doctor arc, or a Romana arc.

10 Be out of the country by 2010. (I can't believe it's gonna be 2010 next year... I mean I still do all of my math from 2000, I'm convinced the 60's were 40 years ago, the 80's 20, etc, I don't like the idea of it being further... it upsets my internal balance.)

Also on Leverage (which I've been enjoying in place of Hustle) there was the best line ever, on being stuck in a small town with no wifi: "It took me over an hour to torrent the newest episode of Doctor Who." I felt like I was seeing a kindred spirit.

I have discovered that I find Amy Winehouse fantastic holiday music. I had my iPod on shuffle and I was walking by a park and I looked up saw the snow on the branch and with the combination of her voice I was like: "CHRISTMAS OMG!" I also have started reading Orlando which is quite fun, it has been ages since I read something written by a woman, and it is quite relaxing. Anyway, onto the actual post.


mix talk: I am of that age where the only thing one thinks about is fleeing. So this is a mix for those who need to get away, and as for the title, well I'm from the City, so even though I love it is the last place I want to be, so please excuse, what may be for most, the paradoxical title.
